The following suicide note is written as if Jesus is speaking to a suicidal person, in a final plea to convince them not to commit suicide, and is to be read in this context. Please feel free to download and print off the JPEG or PNG version and pass it out. Perhaps you know of someone who needs to read this.

Dear suicidal person,

Please don’t do this.

Put away this evil and choose to live your life. Suicide is a choice and living a choice. I gave you the gift of life; I don’t want you to take it. I can see what you can’t see, and you need to trust Me now when I tell you that suicide is the wrong choice! It is the wrong way to deal with problems, no matter what those problems are.

I am reaching out to you. I will be there for you as a Friend and Saviour if you will only let me in. I know your pain, but I also know your sin; I see everything. Once you take your life, there is no reversing it, and you will ever live to regret it. Many of the problems you face are because you do not include Me in your decision-making. You are not submissive towards Me; this is rebellion. If you would walk with Me, you would not end up in the place where you are right now.

I care about you more than you realise, but you reject My care. I have reached out to you before, but you keep pushing Me away!

I never said that life would come without its fair share of challenges, but I did promise to be with those who would believe in Me.

I died on the cross for you, because you mean so much to Me, but My heavenly Father is also a God of divine justice who must punish sin. That is why I plead with you: fall down on your knees, and cry out to Me for hope and deliverance.

I will hear your call!

The Lord Jesus Christ

Saviour of the world
